  Mad Science will be back with another fun-filled session of hands on science activities. Each weeks students explore a new science topic, conduct a science experiment, and go home with an activity to further their understanding of the week's topic. In this program, kids explore a variety of introductory topics in engineering, physics, and chemistry as they learn how science can be applied in everyday life. They learn about concepts like bridge construction, the forces of flight, how air pressure can be used to move things, and more!

  PYT: Play in a Box - Wednesdays | Grades 3-5 [Sold Out]

  Trinity School is teaming up with Peninsula Youth Theatre to offer after-school drama this year! Students will learn the basics of acting and storytelling while playing fun theatre games and rehearsing a short play. The program culminates in a final performance for family and friends on December 6th at 4 pm. Parents will be responsible for providing their child's simple costume (instructions provided) and helping with memorization. Classes will be taught by Beth McClelland. PYT’s unique family atmosphere successfully uses theater performances and classes to develop a strong sense of self-esteem and to nurture social and communication skills that are useful in all walks of life. They are committed to providing an enriching theatrical experience, reinforcing the positive role the arts play in academic success.

  Little Explorers Petting Zoo - Wednesdays | TK - Grade 5

  Join Little Explorers in this Zoology-inspired, up close, and hands-on after school program! We will learn about and meet different reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from the desert. Each week we will focus on one species of animal, learning about it as a zoologist would. We will be discussing habitat, food chains, life cycles, adaptations, and more, as well as broadening our zoology vocabulary. Throughout the weeks will also have animal-themed art projects and games.

  Woodworkers Academy - Thursdays | Kinder - Grade 5 [Sold Out]

  With our program, your students will learn: how to use various woodworking hand tools, building techniques, & carpentry related math skills. All beginners will start by making a spin top, which gives them a fundamental introduction to most of our tools and how to use them. Once the spin tops have been completed, students can choose from a collection of our pre-designed projects, as well as create ideas of their own. Projects may include birdhouses, toy cars, boats, treasure chests, book shelves and whatever else our imaginations can come up with! Some of the tools that we use are brace drills, egg beater drills, tri-squares, coping saws, hand saws, & c-clamps. This program offers children a creative outlet whilst learning vital skills that will serve them throughout their entire lives.
